Is your child already drinking?

If you need professional help to address your child’s alcohol or drug use, try the following resources.


  • Your child’s school guidance counselor or your family physician may be able assess your child to determine treatment needs and provide referrals to counselors or treatment programs.
  • Your county juvenile probation office may offer substance abuse classes or recommend treatment programs.
  • Idaho 211 Careline lists low-cost or free health services in your community. Call 2-1-1 or visit
  • Idaho Health and Welfare Substance Use Disorder Services provides screenings and referrals to approved treatment facilities. Financial aid may be available. Call 1-800-922-3406.
  • Idaho licensed treatment centers
  • Business Psychology Associates (BPA)
  • Talk to your employer about your Employee Assistance Program and access for your child.


  • Partnership for Drug-Free Kids Helpline will listen to your concerns and help you outline a plan of action and find a treatment program. English and Spanish. Call 1-855-378-4373.
